I have started to put here some of my favourite books that I have read recently. I want to do this because I forget about them yet some were true gems that I want to remember. I do not bother to put here books that I did not like because they are not worth mentioning but also because I often do not finish reading them. Here are the ones that moved me and/or thrilled me, in alphabetical order by titles...

A plane crash seems somehow linked to corporate secrets being leaked for the acquisition of a large IT company. A man working on the deal disappears and may be responsible or at least involved in the scam. His wife, a lawyer, also mysteriously seems linked. But could they both have been framed? A FBI agent will stop at nothing to uncover the truth where big money is at stakes.
Book title 24 Hours Rating Author Greg Iles Type Comments A ruthless kidnapper has the perfect scheme to get a ransom within 24 hours but the determination of both the father and mother as they play along to his demands while trying to find a way to get their daughter back will turn everything upside down. But who will come out on top and alive?
Book title Abduction Rating Author Robin Cook Type Comments A team of marine experts are abducted into a world under the oceans where highly evolved humans have been living for millions of years. They must first be decontaminated and then integrated/introduced to their new lives and to these "peaceful" people who have found the secret to eternal life and heaven on earth. Are they captive or can they return to surface earth and their families? A great new author for me and a great discovery.
Book title Absolute Power Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments A pretty good Baldacci. A burglar hitting a super rich mansion witnesses a woman murdered by a high profile politician and must run for his life to avoid being silenced. As the only witness to the crime, the killer will go to any length to get to him and save his reputation as a good law-abiding citizen. Good characters and interesting twists and turns to keep pages turning till the end.
Book title Alexandria Link (The) Rating Author Steve Berry Type Comments Clues to the whereabouts of the long lost Alexandria Library are surfacing, sending Israelis, Arabs and Americans on its trail. If found, its ancient texts could prove that the current version of the Old Testament giving claim to Jews for Palestine as the promised land given by God is not true, with a shattering geo-political outcome.
Book title Amber Room (The) Rating Author Steve Berry Type Comments The exquisite panels of a an amber room disappears during the second world war but the modern art world is willing to pay any price to find them. Many historical facts about the war, Hitler and pillage of art works make for an interesting story.
Book title Animal Dream Rating Author Barbara Kingsolver Type Comments A great story about sisters, one gone away to help the world in South America, the other one in Cherokee territory pondering the meaning of her life, until her sisters is caught by rebels and thought to be dead. Great first nations references, with mysteries and revelations.
Book title Black Cross (The) Rating Author Greg Iles Type Comments Another great story set during World War II with 2 spies trying to infiltrate a concertration camp in German where they test nerve gases on prisoners. The British want to use a gas on the Germans first to deter them from using it in the upcoming invasion of the Allies. And the spies must return with a sample of the German ones as well as photos of the production unit. A great page-turner with interesting historic background.
Book title Blasphemy Rating Author Douglas Preston Type Comments A pretty good novel by this author who often teams up with Lincoln Child. A mad project sets up a supercollider in the Amazon that will try to recreate the Big Bang of crreation. But a pastor sees this as the coming of the Antichrist and brings forth many "clues" to convince fundamentalists. Just as the scientists seem to come into contact with "God" and not science. Could this really be the case or a hoax to bring forth a new age and a new religion?
Book title Blue Nowhere (The) Rating Author Jeffery Deaver Type Comments A computer hacker is carefully selecting its victims and social engineering himself to sneak into their lives to kill them. To him, this is only a game but to the state police, they must find a way to stop him. With the help of a high skilled hacker, they play the game to win and catch him at every turn. A good suspense novel reflecting some potential dangers of the computer age…
Book title Bone Collector (The) Rating Author Jeffery Deaver Type Comments A good thriller with private detective following the trail of a kidnapper/murderer, a cat and mouse chase to find the clues and save the victims. Well-developped characters and interesting plot that keeps going till the very end.
Book title Brimstone Rating Author Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child Type Comments I was thrilled to find a novel from these co-authors and was not disappointed. The slick criminal investigator Pendergast is back teamed with D'Agosta to solve sudden murders that look like the devil has burned the victims to a crisp, leaving all surroudings intact. There seems to be a link between the victims in their distant past, when they made a pact with the devil. Can this be true and Lucifer has now come to claim their lives? The PI will follow the trail until they uncover the truth in an old Italian castle.
Book title Broken Souls (The) Rating Author Jack Kerley Type Comments A wonderful new author for me along the lines of David Baldacci with interesting characters and good suspense till the end. Brutal murders of women put detectives on the trail of the psycho responsible, and the pieces of the puzzle lead to a wealthy and ruthless family with many secrets to hide. The mystery unfolds and points to the most unlikely suspect, leaving a trail of victims behind...
Book title Cabinet of Curiosities (The) Rating Author Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child Type Comments A great discovery with these dual authors who know how to develop a story and characters well. The bodies of people used in torture and experiments are found underground. A detective tries to find clues to explain what happened more than 130 years ago just as new similar murders start to happen in a life and death race for the truth.
Book title Cold Moon (The) Rating Author Jeffery Deaver Type Comments Private investigators are on the trail of a serial killer who leaves clocks at the murder scenes. The Watchmaker, as he is dubed, leaves very little evidence at the scene of the crimes making it hard to follow his trace. But the PI are keeping up, trying to uncover and compromise his final master plan of mass killing.
Book title Collectors (The) Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments A pretty goon suspense about spies, treason and selling US intelligence secrets to the ennemy. The camel club characters are back to find clues and solve the mystery of the who, what and why. Run of the mill story.
Book title Camel Club (The) Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments A great story about traitors in high place at the secret services of the USA. A murder is witnessed by some street bums who must run for their lives and try to expose the people behind this consipiracy. USA against muslim terrorists set to topple the american governement and teach the world a lesson...
Book title Code to Zero Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Mastermind for intelligent folks - Follett rarely disappoints and always innovates. This story is set in the world of cold war rocket science, Cap Carnival and the race to get the first US satellite to space. The hero finds out the spies who are working to prevent this from happening, but his adversaries have inflicted him with amnesia and he must unravel the truth about himself and what he knows piece by piece.
Book title Coffin Dancer (The) Rating Author Jeffery Deaver Type Comments A good page turner with top-notched detectives sifting through clues as a killer makes one victim after another. Well developped characters and believable story with an unexpected twist in the end.
Book title Coma Rating Author Robin Cook Type Comments A medical student witnesses minor surgeries which result in the patients falling into a deep coma so she starts to investigate to the dismay of her superiors. As she persists to uncover the causes, her life becomes threathened in a race to uncovers the whole truth and identify motives. A good suspense thriller.
Book title Dangerous fortune (A) Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Yet another masterpiece from this author that leaves me sad once the book is read. A great saga set in the world of bankers of the 1800s in England and the evolution of a family tormented by a dark secret that could jeopardize their way of life.
Book title Devils's Punchbowl (The) Rating Author Greg Iles Type Comments A good novel from this author. Set in gambling Mississippi, a casino employee finds out that illegal dog fighting and prostitution is going on with the knowlege of local and national authorities. The mafia king is ruthless and will stop at nothing to avoid pandora's box to pop. Great characters and good suspense story till the end.
Book title Divide (The) Rating Author Nicholas Evans Type Comments The daughter of a separated couple is found dead. The story looks at the events that led to this as well as how each member of the family deals with it. A great story about family relationships and the events that can bring us together despite conflicting emotions. Well written, a gem of a read.
Book title Divine Justice Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments Not a bad Baldacci, but not great either. The Camel Club is back, with Oliver who just murdered two politicians to avenge the death of a friend and of his family a long time ago. On the run, the Camel Club go after him to try and help but Oliver finds himself in a remote town, where murder after murder lead to a deadly drug ring. With high FBI on his trail, he tries to solve the mystery and save his own skin with friends at the rescue.
Book title Door to December (The) Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments A great discovery in this author who writes and develops story and characters very well. A bizarre group of phsychiatrists have used a 9 year old girl for mind control experiments for 6 years when the whole thing turns bad. Now in a catatonic state, the mother and a cop must try to understand what was done to her to stop the killing of people involved in order to hide the great secrets of this human experiment.
Titre Ensemble c'est tout Évaluation Auteure Anna Gavalda Type Commentaires Un drame simple et bien écrit relatant la vie de gens foutus cherchant leur place dans le monde. Bien à la française avec beaucoup de nombrilisme, un humour sec et des petits événements cocasses. Lecture agréable sans plus.
Titre Eye of the Needle Évaluation Auteure Ken Follett Type Commentaires The first novel from this great writer - set in the second world war in England when a german spy can tip the outcome of the war in favor of his country - if only he can get to them top secret information about the planned British invasion of France.
Book title Footprints of God Rating Author Greg Iles Type Comments The Amercian National Security Agency (NSA) develops a supercomputer based on a human brain scan which takes on a life of its own. One of the scientists tries to stop its completion and sets in motion a series of attempts on his life as he tries to reveal the dangers of the project. Believable story, great characters, a true page turner.
Book title Garden of Beasts Rating Author Jeffery Deaver Type Comments A WWII thriller where an american hitman is sent to pre-war Germany to kill Hitler's right hand military man to try to avoid a war. Fairly good suspense but not page-turning or gripping, as is the case with Ken Follett WWII novels.
Book title Girl Who Played with Fire (The) Rating Author Stieg Larsson Type Comments My second novel of this author. Now I will go out and get the movie of his 2 books. Great characters and good suspense/story till the end. The punk Liesbeth Salander is back but this time, she's accused of murder and no one will believe that a crazy woman like her is not guilty. She goes into hiding to uncover the truth about who is behind this hoax, and in doing so she opens a door to her past and to people who see her only as a liability. But she has friends who won't give up on her so easily either.
Book title Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (The) Rating Author Stieg Larsson Type Comments A new author for me. Good. A journalist is hired to investigate a 40 year old disappearance/murder along with a punk researcher. Never thinking that he will actually find the truth, he discovers that the murder of young women hasn't stopped since that time. A lot is at stake in a race to uncover the past, and reveal the present.
Book title Glass Palace (The) Rating Author Amitav Ghosh Type Comments An amazing epic story beginning in late 1800 Burma when the King was sent into exile to India by the Imperial British. We follow the characters and their children through the colonial times, the second world war and the personal turmoil of their lives. Extremely well written and the historical backdrop makes it all the more interesting.
Book title Good Guy (The) Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments I keep hoping that I will get a 9.5 Koontz like Intensity but no cigar. An ok story about a guy who tries to save a woman who has been marked for death. It's a race to evade the murderer as they try to find out the truth behind all of this.
Book title Hornet Flight Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Members of a resistence network get caught one by one leaving behind only innocent civilians to save the Allies from losing the war. The spies must get critical information about a high tech German radar base discovered on an island in Denmark. A suspense thriller with the story set during the second world war when the resistence fought the Nazi.
Book title House of Thunder (The) Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments A woman wakes up in a hospital, told that she has been in a coma for 21 days following an accident. She starts to have hallucinations of people linked to a past tragedy who come back to haunt her. Has she gone crazy or is this a hoax meant to bring her to the brink of insanity? If so, who and why is this happening to her? A good suspense story with unexpected conclusions.
Book title Icebound Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments 8 scientists in the Artic find themselves on an huge ice shelf which breaks away and becomes an iceberg. Drifting into a cold storm, with no supplies and a traitor among them, they must find a way to survive untill help comes along to save the day.
Book title Intensity Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments A true can't-put-it-down page-turner that lives up to its title - intense. A woman witnesses a murder and tries to follow the mad man on his rampage so that she can report him to autorities and save a woman that he has locked up somewhere. A cat and mouse nail-biting read that delivers a great action and memorable characters.
Book title In the Blood Rating Author Jack Kerley Type Comments A pretty good second book for me of this author. A fundamentalist preacher is fund dead in an apparent S&M set up but investigation reveals that people in his close circles including his wife could have set him up for a fall. But why? 2 detectives unravel the secret past of each person and tries to find the link and the truth.
Book title Invasion Rating Author Robin Cook Type Comments Strange black discs start to appear and when people pick them up, they get stung and develop strange flu symptoms, only to recover quickly and...become a new person, linked as one with all others who get "infected" while a select few manage to avoid this alien plague and try to find the source...and the cure to save mankind. Riveting and plausible story that kept me turning the pages especially at the end.
Book title Jackdaws Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments A thrilling suspense novel set in the second world war where Female British Spies risk their lives to put out critical communication infrastructure in occupied France. If they succeed, the D-day invasion may save the war for the Allies and cripple the Germans. But the infiltration into Nazi hands is a cat and mouse game which can lead to torture or death for the unlucky ones.
Book title Key to Rebecca (The) Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments A spy thriller set in Egypt during the Second World War when the Germans are trying to beat the British. A spy passing critical war information to the Germans is the key to who will win the war. Can the British find him and stop him in time or will Cairo fall into Axis hands ? As always, Follett makes it interesting with its historical and unusual setting.
Book title Kite Runner (The) Rating Author Khaled Hosseini Type Comments A gem of a novel set in modern Afganistan, with the story of 2 youngs boys, friends but separated by social caste. It starts at a time when the country was prosperous, then invaded and occupied by the Soviets and then dominated by the Talibans. Extremly well written, endearing characters and relationships that grow and evolve through countless events, a roller-coaster of emotions. Light, deep. Superb.
Book title Lie Down With Lions Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Another hit from Follett, this one set in the 1980s of Afghanistan when the rebels are at war with the Russians. 2 spies try to win the love of a women, each fighting on opposite sides in a constant tug-of-war. Who will win her heart and at what cost ?
Book title Loop (The) Rating Author Nicholas Evans Type Comments I just love this author to bits. Again this book is a gem with very lovable characters and set in a foreign world - the one of wolves. How a town deals in anger with wolves threathening their livelihoods, and others who will do anything to save them. Evans is great at developping relationships and getting the reader to care.
Book title Maiden's Grave (A) Rating Author Jeffery Deaver Type Comments A great thriller with an escaped fellon who takes hostages - children and teachers - into a slaughterhouse. A negociation team comes along to persuade him to give up hostages in exchange for demandes. Edge-of-the-seat suspense as the deception game progresses with winings and losses on each side. Who will make it to the finish line ?
Book title Man from St Petersburg (The) Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Another good Follett thriller set in historical pre World War I in London when Britan anticpates the invasion of France by the Germans and looks to Russia for help. A Russian spy will do everything to undermine and prevent the creation of this alliance by trying to kill its key negotiators. But can the spy betray his old love and his daughter to get the job done ?
Book title Moses Stone (The) Rating Author James Becker Type Comments A wonderful new author for me along the lines of Ken Follet with rich historical true facts weaved in with fiction. An older couple vacationing in Morocco find themselves in possession of a clay tablet but soon thugs are after them to recover the ancient piece. An archeologist and a cop join in the chase which could lead to the long lost silver scroll and the Moses Tablets, the famous 10 commandments carved on stone. It's a deadly race to uncover the clues that lead to the relics which could redefine history.
Book title Night Over Water Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Another hit for this great novelist set in pre World War II with the first flight of the Pan American flying boat (the first commercial passenger plane). The flight engineer's wife is kidnapped and its captors demand that the flight boat be brought down to capture a German scientist aboard the plane. Good suspense and interesting info on this historic time.
Book title Paper Money Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments A so-so story set in the newspaper/journalist world of Britain, when seemingly independant shocking stories start to link together - the attempted suicide of a high-ranking official, the sudden sale of a large company on the day it wins a bid to exploit oil fields, the robbery of a bank truck to finance the transaction - and a reporter on the trail to uncover the fraud.
Book title Phantoms Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments The inhabitants of an entire village are found dead from an unknown cause while others have simply disappeared. Was it a sudden epidemic, chemical gas, a super efficient murderer or some other threat? Trapped in the town and looking for answers, some people will risk their lives and come face to face with an incredible demon. What can they do to survive? A great Koontz suspense novel…
Book title Place called freedom (A) Rating Author Ken Follet Type Comments Another good Follet novel set in 1700s slavery era first in Scotland coal mines, then in London with street hangings and finally across to Amerca. Interesting historical background and well-developped characters who try at all cost to change their destiny.
Book title Pillars of the Earth (The) Rating Author Ken Follet Type Comments A true Masterpice! Ken Follet has quickly become a favourite writer for me. Story set in the Middle Ages with Earls and Kings opposing Pirories and Bishops in a fight for surivival and power. Extremely engrossing with great characters.
Book title Prince of Fire Rating Author Daniel Silva Type Comments An Israeli spy is called in to find the author of a Palestinian terrorist attack on its embassy in Italy. This adventure is set with the conflict between israelis and palestinians as storyline and provides an good inside perspective.
Book title Romanov Prophecy (The) Rating Author Steve Berry Type Comments Captivating story set with historical facts on the demise of the last Tzar of Russia and his family as they were executed. Were there any survivors? If so, who knows about their whereabouts and can they be found in time to take the thrown and lead Russia into a new era?
Book title Running a hotel on top of the world Rating Author Alec Le Sueur Type Comments Interesting and humorous account of the experience of one man who worked at the Holiday Inn in Lhasa Tibet during the 1980s. Great stories about the influence of the Chinese, the rules/laws affecting work conditions and tourism and ultimately, the challenge of working in such a remote area. A good read.
Book title Sanctuary (The) Rating Author Raymond Khoury Type Comments A wonderful new author for me along the lines of Matthew Reilly with historical facts and a quest for a long lost recipe for an elixir to extend life. Set in Iraq with a Witch doctor who's been experimenting on human guinea pigs for years and desperate for the formula, an archeologist and her daughter fight to protect the truth and keep it from falling into "evil" hands. A good suspense till the end.
Book title Saving Faith Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments Baldacci is a hit and miss author for me, but on this one he hits the mark pretty good. A steady page turner with CIA doing covert operations on the FBI, and heroes who try to bring the truth to light, while at the same time running/hidding from the "bad guys". Well-developped characters and excellent story.
Book title Secret life of the bees Rating Author Sue Monk Kidd Type Comments A gem from page 1 as we get to know the little girl who lost her mother at a young age and now lives with a very autoritative father. Set in the 1960 during the racial uprising, she sets off with a black woman to find out about her mother and ends up on a bee farm as they share about life, secrets and hope. A must in literature.
Book title Separation of Power Rating Author Vince Flynn Type Comments A pretty good spy thriller with a hero trying to save the face of key CIA people. He must first find a way to get to Iraq's near-completed nuclear arms and smuggle them out of the country to safety. Interesting background info on relations between Israel and the USA and the world of espionage.
Book title Servants of Twilight (The) Rating Author Dean Koontz Type Comments A religious cult let by a mad woman preys on a child whom she claims is the Antichrist. A hunt to kill him at all cost follows as he and his mother run to hide and stay alive.
Book title Seven Ancient Wonders Rating Author Matthew Reilly Type Comments Already one of my favorite authors. History, suspense and great characters, like a much better Dan Brown. The capitain of an international team must protect the daughter of the oracle so that she can help them find the piece of a capstone, hidden in pieces where the 7 ancient wonders of the world used to stand. Will they manage to stop "evil" forces from assembling the capstone on top of the pyramid to be granted absolute power over mankind?
Book title Shantaram Rating Author Gregory David Roberts Type Comments I deserve a medal for finishing this 933 pages epic in 2 months based on the life story of the author! A convict escapes from an Australian prison and makes it to India on a fake passport where his life becomes enmeshed with locals. He lives in the slums, provides free medical care, learns Hindi and Marathi language and eventually joins the Bombay mafia gang, a brotherhood of loyal men. A great journey into life in Bombay with its culture, habits and mysteries.
Book title Sign (The) Rating Author Raymond Khoury Type Comments Another great novel from this author of the historical/mystical thriller genre which I love. A luminous sign comes up at different times in various parts of the world, pushing people to think that God has a message for mankind. Everyone believes this is so until hints come up that it could be a hoax. But who is behind it? And what is the purpose?
Book title Simple Genius Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments A secret CIA compound falls under investigation when a scientist from a nearby think-tank organization is found dead on their premises. It was made to look like suicide, but could it have been murder? If so, what was the motive and what was the scientist doing poking into CIA territory? 2 private investigators are called in to shed some light into this very sensitive case. Good story with progressive suspense till the end.
Book title Six Sacred Stones (The) Rating Author Matthew Reilly Type Comments A great Indiana Jones type of novel where the hero must save the world from dooms day by setting ancient pillars in the right place, against the greed of opponents who want to rule the world. Great suspense and wonderful historic background that lend credibility to the story.
Book title Sleep No More Rating Author Greg Iles Type Comments A woman dies while being raped, but her spirit actually moves to inhabit the body of the rapist. "She" finds that she can control her "host" and transfer to a new body during sexual climax when a "spiritual door" opens. Her goal - to return to the man she loves to have him at last, despite the fact that he is now married and that their relationship ended in a fiasco. She will stop at nothing to get him, and he must at all cost stop her spirit from taking over his life.
Book title Smoke Jumper (The) Rating Author Nicholas Evans Type Comments A gem and an incredible authors who ranks up there with master storytellers. Two best friends, both smoke jumpers going into forest fires to put them out, fall in love with the same woman. Through a series of events, she choses one and they must then live with the consequences and the impact of this decision on their lives.
Book title Split Second Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments Already he has become an author that I much enjoy reading. Story set with political backdrop, murder and disgraced secret service agents that try to redeam the day by finding the culprits. Typical hollywood storyline but good writing and interesting characters.
Book title Stone Monkey (The) Rating Author Jeffrey Deaver Type Comments A boat from China filled with illegal immigrants is sunk by its smuggler, the Ghost, but 2 families manage to escape and make it to shore. Once to find that the Ghost is hunting them down and will not rest until they are all dead. It's a race between FBI agents and the Ghost as they all try to find the immigrants lost in New York city before it's too late...
Book title Templar Legacy (The) Rating Author Steve Berry Type Comments An agent is on a trail to discover long lost secrets of the Templar Knights as they surface and lead them on a chase for truth, understanding and treasures. Interesting setting for the story with historical references and real locations weaved in with fiction.
Book title Third Secret (The) Rating Author Steve Berry Type Comments There have been many visions and prophecies over the century with Fatima as its main one. However the content of the revelations is kept secret by the Church. A chase for truth begins to find the true content of these messages.
Book title Third Twin (The) Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments Another hit by this genius! A scientist investigates genetics by comparing twins raised apart, to see if genes or social upbringing has an impact on whether the individual becomes violent. Until she finds twins born on different dates by different mothers, and uncovers a government experiement to "breed" clones in search of the perfect soldier.
Book title Thousand Splendid Suns (A) Rating Author Khaled Hosseini Type Comments The second book from this amazing author who knows how to weave Afgan history, culture and incredible characters in superb stories. A gem, a must and a talent unequaled.
Book title Triple Rating Author Ken Follett Type Comments A good suspense story about the Israelis trying to steak uranium "yellow cakes" in order to build their first nuclear bomb ahead of the Arabs.
Book title True Evil Rating Author Greg Iles Type Comments A disappointment after Footprints of God. An FBI agent gets suspicious about her sister's death and investigates. She finds that many others have died of "strange natural causes" and they are all linked to one lawyer. Could the spouses of the victims have ordered them eliminated to avoid an expensive divorce ? Plausible story that falls short.
Book title Under the Beetle's Cellar Rating Author Mary Willis Walker Type Comments 11 kids and a bus driver are kidnapped and hidden by a cult in a countdown to what they believe is the comging apocalypse. A surprisingly light and extremely well written story about the race to understand the mad man so as to find a key to the release of the hostages... before it's too late! 2 thumbs up for sure!
Book title Venetian Betrayal (The) Rating Author Steve Berry Type Comments A modern day chase for Alexander The Great's tomb and relics turns to murder and arson, bringing in the help of undercover agents. Book title While I was gone Rating Author Sue Miller Type Comments A story about the freedom of youth and dreams, and coming to terms with the past. The novel relies on flashbacks as well as the present to develop its characters. 3/4 of the book is interesting but for much too long in the end, it loses its grip and wanders off with little interest.

A deadly virus is stolen from a high-security lab in England and its security chief must go on the trail of the thiefs to prevent it from falling into the hands of terrorists. Good characters and great story.
Book title Winner (The) Rating Author David Baldacci Type Comments Baldacci is a hit-n-miss for me and the good ones never ranked too high, till this one. A great story about a lottery scam with high-stake investments and deception, for the truth must never come out. But then a journalist starts to put 2 and 2 together and it all unravels, and a race to kill all who know follows till the very end.
